Gastronomy Summit 2022 will bring together members of our global gastronomic community to explore and celebrate the transformative power of food, drink and hospitality. Over three days – 11 – 13 April 2022 - of keynotes, discussions and social events, delegates will consider how to develop cities, regions and countries as food and drink ‘destinations’, in ways that deliver tangible benefits to local people. They will share practical solutions to achieving lasting and inclusive community regeneration, including in locations that are facing considerable social, cultural and economic challenges.

Irish Wine and Whiskey Tasting Evening

Wednesday 16 March 2022 (6.30 to 8.30 pm) BD Academy, Belfast Campus

Join our WSET certified educators, Gary and Simon, along with our award-winning BSc Culinary Arts Management Course Director, Michael on Wednesday 16 March 2022 in the Academy for our ‘Irish Wine and Whiskey Tasting Evening’ as they explore a range of wine and whiskey that are linked to the Island of Ireland. The Irish are associated with some of the world’s finest wines, with wine estates across the globe having a connection to Ireland, known as ‘The Irish Wine Geese’.

In order to celebrate Ireland’s rich vinous heritage this St Patrick’s Day, the team from the Academy Restaurant at Ulster University will share their favourite Irish wine and whiskey, all served with pairing small plates of Irish cuisine.

Wednesday 9 March 2022 12 noon.

WSET Level 2

This qualification is popular with wine and spirit employees and will give students excellent all-round product knowledge. The course is also suitable for the interested consumer. The aim of the course is to focus on the key grape varieties and regions of the world, and principle varieties of spirits.

Deadline for registration:  Wednesday 9th March 2022 9am.  Please note that this deadline cannot be moved.

Standard Course Fee: £240

10% discount for Alumni/students/staff Course Fee : £216

 

Early cancellation fee: £25 (Before Monday 22 November at 9am)
