This course will suit someone who has little or no experience of working with clay.  It is also suited to the intermediate student, where new techniques and shapes will be demonstrated and help from the tutor will be available. You will have opportunities to experience a number of different techniques, including slab work, coil work and an opportunity to learn how to use a potter’s wheel.  This is an exciting opportunity to use the superb ceramics facilities at Belfast School of Art and begin, or progress, your journey in clay. The course can also be accessed by experienced ceramists who want to use the facilities and have directed input from the tutor.

AUGUST CRAFT MONTH MUG SPECIAL  Are you an intermediate thrower, but struggle to create different shapes?  Join this special mug throwing course at Belfast School of Art to receive tuition and an opportunity to make 9 different shaped mugs.  This short course is for throwing students only who want to learn to throw purposeful shapes and will include making and joining handles, mark making and glazing techniques.
